The ability to do something fast and with a lot of power behind it is seen in many sports, for example in a pitcher’s fastball or a knockout punch. The stronger an athlete is, the more speed he or she can generate. We offer strength-training exercises to build speed and prevent injury.
There are two components to speed-strength: starting strength and explosive strength. Starting strength is about the ability to instantaneously activate as many muscle cells as possible. Explosive strength refers to the ability to keep these muscle cells activated for a period of time.
Our speed-strength training includes multi-joint exercises, powerlifting training, flexibility, balance and more. We also offer sport-specific training, depending on the athlete’s goals.
